Mohammed Al-Azzawi
CEO and Founder
Dr Mohammed Al-Azzawi is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon with experience across Northwest London. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and has completed a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine. As a surgical registrar in the NHS and a Premier League match day medical coordinator, he has invaluable experience when it comes to organising a seamless patient treatment journey. He also has first-hand experience of medical repatriation, accompanying patients from their private treatment in London to their home country. This invaluable experience is what inspired him to set up Discover Health.
Mohammed’s passion in providing the very best healthcare is what will allow Discover health to grow and succeed.
Emma Nash
Co-Founder
Dr Emma Nash is a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has worked in this field across Northwest London. She is currently working at the Fertility Centre at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, a world-renowned unit. She has over ten years’ experience in the NHS. In addition, she has had first-hand insight into the challenges of international health having provided medical charity work in Asia and South America as well as gaining experience at the World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr Nash believes that geography should not define healthcare choices and that everyone has the right to the best healthcare to suit their needs. She is highly experienced in coordinating healthcare for patients, and this will ensure that each patient cared for by the Discover Health team will receive top quality care.
Michael Polak
Director
Michael Polak is a Barrister and Director of Justice Abroad which assists those who find themselves in legal difficulties around the world. In this role, he has helped those with a range of both legal and non-legal problems in Asia, Europe, South America, and Africa. He was the recipient of the 2021 International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Outstanding Young Lawyer Award for his commitment to defending human rights across the globe through his professional practice and personal endeavours.
Michael believes that the Discover Health concept is an extension of his work helping those with difficulties to find solutions and to improve their wellbeing.
Kyriaki Pouangare
Director
Kyriaki Pouangare is a UK trained Architect who completed her undergraduate training at Bath University, one of the top Universities in the UK. She then completed her specialist training, gaining invaluable experience across the country including London and Brighton. She has full registration with the Architects Registration Board, the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Scientific Technical Chamber of Cyprus. She has extensive experience in delivering projects from inception to completion.
Her passion for the use of sustainable techniques and human centric design has helped build the framework of Discover Health in a way in which promotes sustainability from its core foundations. With her guidance, we will ensure that Discover Health promotes a sustainable and person-centred ethos in every aspect of its work.
